In line with the curriculum development within the “Pro MHI Africa”-project the cooperating universities will develop training material for those who play an active role in the (micro-) insurance market but are not attending a university: micro health insurance managers and staff. The newly developed training material will hence allow building capacities among stakeholders in pro-poor health insurance. Five training modules and also training material for courses outside universities will be offered. The training material developed for courses outside university will particularly benefit community members, i.e. managers and workers of micro health insurance units, and will also be handed over to dedicated, non-profit training institutions which can ensure quality teaching and sustainability for the long term use of the training modules as well as outreach to many community level organizations, insurances and villagers. For that, the training material will also be available in different local languages. Moreover, training material will be developed targeting public officials so that numerous different stakeholders and policy makers will be reached by the trainings. The training material will also be used well beyond the project and outreach is thus guaranteed.
