Innocent Phiri

Innocent Phiri is currently doing a Masters in Economics at Chancellor College, University of Malawi and will finish probably in July 2009. Phiri finished his first degree in December 2006 majored in Economics and minor in social development. From January to August 2007 he was working with Malawi Human Rights Resource Centre (MHRRC) as an Assistant Capacity Building Officer. Beside other things he was especially assisting in designing research tools like questionnaires, focus group discussion and key informant tools, and conducting research as a research assistant. In this time two researches were conducted; one was a baseline survey for a particular new project, the other was on assessing the impact of a project which was to be terminated. The focus was on human rights, HIV and AIDS, income generating activities related to human rights and other health related issues. His MA research paper will also focus on health related issues.
