Prof. Dr. Hans Jürgen Rösner

Hans Jürgen Rösner holds a doctoral degree in economics from the Wilhelms University in Münster (1975), worked as an assistant professor at the University of the Bundeswehr in Hamburg (1982-87) and was research director for the Konrad-Adenauer Foundation at the University Rafael Landivar in Guatemala (1988-1991). Since 1992 he is professor for social policy at the Department for Social Policy and director of the Department for Cooperative Studies of the University of Cologne. Besides, he works as consultant in social development projects in Indonesia, Vietnam and other countries. His main fields of interest are social security and health care, labour market policy and human resource development as well as expertise in projects of cooperative self-help initiatives.
